Antique Silver Plated Britannia Apostle Spoons W. H & Sons London.
This is a beautiful and prestigious set of five antique Apostle Spoons from the 1860s, crafted by the renowned silversmith company William Hutton & Sons in Birmingham, England. These rare and collectible spoons are highly sought after for their historical significance and were particularly popular in England. Known for their exceptional quality, each spoon features an Apostle or Saint at the end, symbolising the Last Supper. The spoons are of teaspoon size, and each one has a matching Apostle, though I am unable to formally identify which Saint each one represents. All five spoons are hallmarked with "WH & SBP," indicating the maker and the composition of the silver.
