This beautifully designed vintage teacup and saucer set, dating from 1957 (+), is made of earthenware pottery by the Australian company, Sovereign Pottery, a subsidiary of Johnson Bros, England. The set features a charming rosebud and green leaf pattern against an ivory/white background, with elegant gold trim on both the saucer and teacup. The saucer has an oblong, round shape with a slight upward curve, while the teacup has a square base with a wide opening. Both pieces are marked with the backstamp that reads ‘Sovereign Pottery Johnson/Made In Australia.’
