This exquisite multicoloured vintage Italian Murano ashtray or bowl is a stunning example of hand-blown vintage art glass, featuring a retro mid-century modern style. It showcases a combination of clear and white ‘opaline’ glass with vibrant blue and red thread swirl accents. The design follows a round ‘tobacciana’ theme and includes three applied clear glass slots. The smooth pontil base does not bear any formal maker identification stickers, but it is highly likely to be Murano glass. In excellent vintage condition with general air bubbles indicative of the artisan’s glassblowing process.
Tiny ‘nibble’ and slight scuff mark and a manufacturing ‘line’ on one of the slots. There are no chips, cracks, fractures or discolouration. Even the pontil base is free from ‘nibbles’. Please refer to the photos.
