Beautiful vintage mid-century, 1960s Aurora Borealis beaded necklace.
This gorgeous necklace features 8 strands of iridescent faceted hexagon glass beads with a deep blue iris/black colour and lustrous illuminating metallic coating, giving it a dazzling shine reminiscent of the Northern Lights. The necklace is completed with a pretty slide-lock gold-toned closure adorned with a decorative Borealis glass rhinestone cluster.
With its various illuminating colours and classic Art Deco look, this necklace is the perfect fashion accessory for daytime or evening use. Give it a slight twist for a chunky look or unfold the strands for a more delicate feel. It also makes a lovely gift for birthdays, anniversaries and parties.
Measurements:
There are approximately 672 beads, (too many to count!) with each one measuring approximately 3.58 mm.
The length is approximately 50 cm, not including the clasp.
The clasp measures 2cm.
The width is 3cm when all 8 strands are laid down flat, back to back.

In excellent vintage condition. All beads are attached, the clasp is secure and clips into place.
