Vintage Lancaster & Sandland Display Cake Plate "The Posy Shop".
This vintage display or cake plate, titled "The Posy Shop," was produced in 1944 by Lancaster & Sandland, a renowned manufacturer of high-quality English earthenware based in Hanley, England. The plate features a whimsical and colourful Victorian-style florist shopfront, adorned with potted flowers and beautiful floral bouquets. Its design includes a decorative scalloped edge and a unique round square shape with a curved base. Condition:
There is an insignificant small area of clean crazing on the back of the plate and some wear to the gold gilt. Otherwise, it is in excellent vintage condition. There is no crazing to the front of the plate and no chips, cracks or repairs.
