Vintage porcelain/earthenware tureen vegetable dish by Johnson Bros England in the Burton pattern.
Featuring a pretty bouquet floral pattern with gold trims and accents in an Art Deco hexagon round design, this timeless nostalgic tableware from a bygone era can be proudly showcased as a table centrepiece. It's perfect for holding soups, vegetables, or even desserts, and makes for lovely Wedding or Festive giftware.
Tureen dates to the 1920s-60s, as indicated by the backstamp, and is sold as two pieces, including the matching lid.
Status: Discontinued- collectible.
Also available are two matching underplates or platters in the Burton pattern.
Measurements approximately:
H x 15.5 cm (to lid tip).
L x 25 cm (handle to handle).
W x 22 cm.
Condition:
Vintage condition with clean crazing and a few spots of discolouration on the inside base. Tiny nibbles/wear on a few areas only of the lid and handles gilt trim. Each is insignificant and mentioned for accuracy. There is no damage, cracks or chips.
In good vintage condition, with many more years to showcase its superb quality and craftsmanship.
