Beautifully crafted vintage mid-century-modern porcelain teacup and side-plate set, manufactured by the Japanese company SUPERIOR QUALITY. Both pieces match and were originally part of a three-piece trio set. Bold in design and colour, this unique set is captivating with a striking geometric pattern and colourful glossy pinks and sky blue, almost resembling "fairy floss". Each has a gold gilt trim and trademark identification gold backstamp of crown and wreath on the undersides. Even though the side plate is not a saucer, it still suits the duo perfectly and sits well.

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition with minimal wear. Some wear to the gold gilt on the teacup handle.
There are no chips, cracks, repairs, stains or crazing.
Teacup has a flat base, a tapered design, and measures:
W x 10.2cm, top rim including handle
H x 6.5 cm
150 ml capacity.
The side-plate has an oblong round design and measures 15.4 cm at its widest points.
